Welcome to my world.
I was Gleason 9 with a PSA of 10.
I completed CyberKnife treatment June 2017.
As a precaution, the plan was to have HDT using Eligard for 2 months before radiation and 6 months after.
The CyberKnife went very well. Minimal side effects.
The Eligard HDT reduced my testosterone level to 13 ng/DL. That was 5 months after the last Eligard. injection. My urologist described that number as "castration level". I wish I had heard that medical descript
ion before I started HDT.
I started to experience serious HDT unexpected side effects about
4 months after first treatment.
(initial side effect happened within a few weeks: total loss of interest in sex).
The worst side effect was a loss of physical stamina. I was exhausted and had to stop to rest after walking 4 blocks. It got worse. Recently, I am using a walking stick and have to rest after 1 - 2 blocks.
No concentration problems. No problems if I stay home.
The good news: my body is finally starting to recover. 104 ng / Dl a few days ago. PSA=.1ng /ml.
Not everyone has side effects like this. I have one friend whose prostate cancer had spread to bones before detection. PSA=200+. He is on lifetime HDT. No fatigue at all. He is age 78 and playing singles tennis 3 -4 times per week.

Diagnosed at 74
Gleason: 9 (4+5), one 7 (3+4), several 6 (3 +3)
DRE nothing detected
MRI & Bone Scan: nothing detected outside of prostate.
CyberKnife completed May 26, 2017.
The radiation dosage was 36.25 gr ( 5 x 7.25). I think the margin was 5 mm + 4 mm laterally.
+ 2 months HDT [Eligard] before SBRT and 6 months after.
