Did you even look at their report? Some of us, perhaps less "reasonable" people than you, like to look at the evidence first before forming an opinion.

For others among you who like to form opinions after reviewing evidence, here is their report;

Too funny! Tooooooo funny!!!

Prat, go read my last comments posted only about 18 hours ago in the thread "How good are studies?" about just reading headlines....! Toooooo funny.

@tall Allen - no I didn’t read the report. If not for the task forces original report on PSA, as well as their report on mammograms, I’d be very sick, and my wife would likely be dead. So I have a less than kind opinion of the task force, and don’t have much interest in what they read. I’ll leave that to you , nkinney and the rest of the scientists

@nkinney....I mean JackH.....I mean Nkinney..... re your post in the studies thread no I didn’t read it....;tldr. Oh, and re my comment ... “Overtreatment, shmovertreatment “, in the context it was given/ I stand by that statement.

huff'n-stuff and prat....

I never gave vitamin D a thought in my lifetime until I went to the doctor he said It was "low" and i started takin' it and now i was just wonderin' if it's makin' that psa go backwards and I don't even know if that would be a good thing or not if was being falsified it seemed it could be a bad thing but....

when I'm out of his bubble it doesn't cross my mind and it's gone. so....but no more doing that. stay outta the bubble..

As long as your PSA is going down, IT, take it. Everyone has their own genetic makeup. That’s why science is useful but sometimes doesn’t serve an individual well. LOGIC tells me that one individual with a different genetic makeup might be helped, by virtamon d supplements, while another may be hurt.

Darn Allen, you've been exceptionally grouchy recently....is all well with you?

Who the heck is this JackH?

As we've discussed at nauseam, some of us have a higher bar than others for labeling stuff 'facts and 'evidence'. Most all the studies I read, and yes I read lots of them, are so full of caveats, exceptions, equivocating, ambiguous language, and like that.....that I believe most of it is hypothesis, as they push the ball forward, and try to satisfy folks demanding certainty, when little if any exists.

....and what gives with all the emotional language in the last few days....'reasonable', silly, ignorant, ridiculous ...and more??? All of us should be adult enough to disagree without being disagreeable.

IMHO, it takes away for the message. smurf

BTW, vitamin E is still bad for prostate cancer, right? confused

You know what takes away from the message? Standing up for the gospel of “Overtreatment, shmovertreatment." That message is two-steps backwards for men. JackH is the HW member who called Prat out for spewing this goofiness.
