I have intermittent pain in my hips, one and then the other from time to time. I am 3 weeks after surgery. It may not be related , it may be because did I create walking or it may be a lack of stretching (which I find a little scary for fear of pulling something).
Has anybody had this?
I already had some hip pain, mainly when side sleeping, before surgery. But it seemed to worsen in the first months after surgery, and on the same side that the tumor has been felt upon DRE. What with my aggressive case and not the best pathology, I of course became paranoid of mets. I called my local URO guy, he ordered a repeat PSA and bone scan. PSA was still <.01. On the scan, they took an extra close look at the hip. Of course, nothing found(very unlikely to find anything with that PSA) except degenerative arthritis in that hip.
It has now been 4 years and that pain has not worsened, might have improved slightly. I suspect the positioning for a 4 hour surgery greatly irritated the already aching hip.
