Any one read this? It sounds interesting. "The Big Fat Surprise: Why Butter, Meat and Cheese Belong in a Healthy Diet". It appears to be related to an opinion I have already had on this subject for a number of years. That subject is that the dietary advice that has been pushed on us by government and medical authorities for the last 30-40+ years is just pretty much wrong. I don't think the exercise advice has been particularly wrong, but it certainly has not been enough to overcome the dietary advice. ( do you suppose there were even 1/10th as many busy gyms and joggers on the roads in 1970 as there are these days?) The advice was less fat, more carbs and exercise. Oh, and don't forget the advice to replace butter with trans-fats, that was a good one. The result is far more obese and diabetic than ever before. I wonder how many lives have been lost due to all this increased diabetes? I had a friend die from complications of T2D some months ago. The results makes me at least suspect the advice(almost demands) was just plain wrong. This book appears to agree. Might be interesting:
You want my take on diet? We know. Each of us. with our own individual chemistries and biological makeups....we know....we already know...what is good for us and what is not....we know...what it's doing to/for us....and what it's not. We know....it's all "one unit"....(if you will)....and what may be good for one human being maynot be good for another. And what's good for the other...isn't necessarily good for us. And vice-a-versa.
Maybe that's what has the scientific community in such a state of flux....contridictiding itself...time and time again. Yeah...it's scientific ok....but the number in the cohort of usable information is made up of one....the own individual's knowing...and only what individual's knows of....what's best for...his own being.
I think that's as good an explanation as any. And expains alot. Whether we obey what our body is telling us....is up to the individual as to whether they will follow their body's instructions to the rest of their being or not....is up to each individual. Forget about
the diets and find YOUR diet. It's not written by others...it's written by your own makeup. Listen to it if you wanna eat what's best for yerself.
