On 7/23 I got my diagnosis of PC....
Gleason score of 9 4/5....PSA of 5.2
On 8/3 I will have a CT, Still waiting on Ins. to approve the Bone scan....
When I went to the DR to get results, I thought I was prepared, I did hold it together until I got out to my truck, And then I broke down....
I had the same experience that JackZ had, After Biopsy I was suppose to go back in 2 weeks for results and a Cystoscopy, Dr. office called and said Dr wont be in that day and I had to wait a couple more weeks for results....Not happy with that.
I did find out that I had 16 cores done, I'll go to Dr, and get the results....
I'm 65 and I have Lung Problems, COPD and Asthma and Glaucoma in right eye..
I'm a 100% rated Veteran.. Army 71-4 and USMC 75-78
Sorry if this too long of an Intro....
May God Bless....
Welcome. I can not even compare your PC status to mine, (see below) but what I wanted to comment on was the VA part of it.. If you set foot on Viet Nam between 1965-1975 you are entitled to compensation benefits for PC under the Agent Orange criteria.. Also as a 100% DAV you should seek outside health care for PC under the "Choice" program.. I doubt that many VA facilities will have a good handle on a treatment plan for a G9. also I took the advice of this group and paid JHU for a 3rd opinion and it mattered.. Ed
