His staff was great. Before and after my brachy. Bonnie, in his office, at times was a biit gruff, but always came through when I had a issue. I had a nurse practioner, Lauren Cutrone, who I dealt with before and after the Brachy. On the day of my procedure, Zelefsky came to see me and I was constantly checked by a fellow, Tomer Charas. Any questions or issues I had were responded to almost immediately and calls were returned quickly. Zelefsky orchestrated the brachy and the radiation, by my RO is now handling my case. My injections were done in Middletown NJ at the MSKCC satellite by the lab there and my MO, Dr. Collette Owens. I now am scheduled for 6 month follow ups with my RO, Dr. Braunstein, in Middletown who did my SBRT. I will still have involvement from my MO after my last shot in October.
Being three days away from the start, you should probably worry more about
fighting the traffic in the city. I live in South Jersey, thats why I opted to have my radiation and shots done in Middletown, NJ. I’m from Long Island and the Bronx originally and worked in the city. Anything to avoid that mess.
Relax Prato. Take a deep breath and remember everything and anything that needs to be done is to fight this darn disease. You’ll get through this fine. You’re in good hands with Zelefsky and his crew.
BTW.......the harpoon they use as a needle doesn’t hurt that much. I think I was only unconscious for about
30 or 40 seconds........
Good luck. Let me know how you make out
