--my husband was feeling very depressed yesterday and is taking Effexor-150 mg--for depression. It should be therapeutic since he's been on it for about 8 weeks now. I don't know that a med can really alleviate the day to day moods that come with cancer, though.
Please feel free to contact me at my personal email--it is posted.

As for you and your husband, I hope things go well for both of you. Don't expect too much from the Effexor after only eight weeks. I've been at 150 all of this year, starting 18 months ago and doubling twice, and just started feeling like the weight had been lifted last April after one full year. It helps, but it's not a miracle drug.
There are a lot of unknowns at this stage, and that tends to drive one crazy. It helps that you seem very supportive, that's a big plus. Keeping busy will help also. Good luck to you both!
