I'm sorry to hear about
all of your trials, but glad to hear that mental status has at least improved. And I certainly respect his choice, not that it matters if I do or I don't. Maybe if painful bone mets show up they can be radiated, as you said.
The problem with so many of our medical treatments is that sometimes they fix- or at least help- one thing only to break another. And it sounds as though you guys are having to make some choices in regard to that rock and a hard place. I know that is difficult.
You have obviously been dong everything medically possible. You may or may not have been doing all things possible as far as diet or supplements that might
be helpful for both the PC and dementia, and are at least cheap and unlikely to hurt anything. If interested, then mention it here or just PM me. Keep in mind that some folks these days refer to dementia as "type 2 diabetes of the brain"(EDIT: correction, some are calling Alzheimer's an dementia simply Type THREE diabetes) and there are also PC implications (I know he may not be actually diabetic, but if he has high insulin and/or metabolic syndrome- as so many of us do, he will have some of he same risk as diabetics do). But all of that is a long story, so let me know if you are interested in discussing all of that sort of thing more. In the meantime, I know you guys will continue to make the best choices FOR YOU in battling these various diseases. God bless, and may you have a Merry Christmas!
