I am having my knee surgery to repair a meniscus on Feb 7th. The stitches come out on the18th and then flying to the big island on the 22nd. I wish it was going to be Maui so I could meet you but that is to be our next visit to Hawaii.

Hey brother, I'm not out here much, but I saw this article while traipsing through LinkedIn.

There is no better testimonial than this one - yeah, a true rock star for all.

Todd,

Yoop.... my God I was just thinking about you. How are you and how is the family and farm. I miss you so much my brother. Gosh it’s good to hear from you. I think you still have my number. If not, email me and I will send it to you.

Randy I totally understand because I was you 12 years ago when I found this group and a bunch of guys who helped me get through it. Yerars from now you will be the guy who helps others.

Todd,
Thank you for that article - aside from your personal story, which is the stuff for a major motion picture - it is hands down the best summary of the many existing and emerging treatments out there today. I really enjoyed the bear story. I was off-trail bushwhacking on conservation land this afternoon scouting areas where invasive bittersweet and barberry need to be attacked, and young white pines need to be cut back etc. Because I was alone and off trail I was thinking of black bears and coyotes, figuring they would hear me first if they were around and leave me alone, though also hoping the whistle around my neck would make me sufficiently scary if I surprised anything that didn't welcome my company.

My best wishes to you and Mindy.

Todd,

I just read your story in Men’s Health. You’re an impressive guy to have endured all of those challenges. I hope to have some of your grit as my situation changes. The body seems to follow the brain. Somehow you managed to keep positive when others would have folded their tent. God bless your woman Mandy for her partnership as well. When I get a little down...I jump on the site to find something to make me feel better. You made my day. Thank you!

A great story and testament to you, Mandy, and your team of doctors in this fight against this foe. Agree with others, the heck with 30 years -- make it 60!

I can only echo what all the others have said Todd. Great story, and fantastic photos too! We've only been hanging around this site for two and a half years now, but yours was one of the first good news stories we read, that really gave us hope and encouragement. And the bear story really stuck with us too!

What an amazing story! I am at a lack for words, you are an inspiration ! I cannot express how happy I am for you and how hopeful I am that your story will help others dealing with very difficult PCA treatment options. You're too young to be dealing with all of this yet you take the time to share your story so it might help others. God bless you and hoping and praying for continued victories. Keep up the fight!

Todd, you are one of the guys whose stories for us younger guys is both scary but in the best ways empowering. My stats and experiences were mild compared to yours yet your story and your fight have been inspiring. I've often thought there should be a sticky section on this board called, "Hope" or "Success" or some other hopeful moniker... This thread, with this article, should be at the top of it. Cheers to you and your wife and here's to another 40 years!

Also, the explanation of what PC is and the explanation of how doctor's battle it with their patients is an excellent description for laymen like most of us.
