Charlie Watts was certainly not nothing, IOWs, he was something, so for him, we'll make an exception to the rule.

I got my quarterly PSA results back Tuesday.
I guess it's good news, no real change, from 0.75 to 0.74.
I was really hoping it would go back to the 0.17 range.
This was my previous nadir, I guess I have a new nadir, oh well life goes on.
Orgovyx is still working, my T is at 12, yeah 12.
I'd really like to know what my PCa is doing.
Coming off of ADT vacations, my nadir has bumped up.
First from <0.1 to 0.17 , now from 0.17 to 0.74.
Any ideas??

For those who enjoyed the FIELD OF DREAMS baseball game this summer ...

The story gets even better ...

Turns out, the baseball players from the YANKEES and WHITE SOX spent some time visiting cancer patients at the nearby cancer treatment center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Currently ... there is an online auction of baseball memorabilia from the WHITE SOX and YANKEES ----from the FIELD OF DREAMS baseball game --- including jerseys and batting helmets from the recent game.

Proceeds from the online memorabilia auction will be donated to the Mercy One Cancer Treatment Center in Dubuque, Iowa.

Great epilogue to a great summer night's event!

This Jeopardy! nonsense is starting to tick me off. The Jokers at Sony are screwing up. Mike Richards is clearly out. I never thought he should have been in to begin with.

Mayim Bialik. Well, I didn't think she was very good, and now we know she's an anti-vaxer (except for Covid, apparently). Plus, she does commercials for a bogus brain supplement. But to be fair, I never thought Alex endorsing $9.99 insurance was a good look either.

LaVar Burton, the fan favorite, didn't impress me. I thought Joe Buck did the best job, followed by Aaron Rodgers.

Just pick somebody for my favorite show and get it done!

I loved Jeopardy, but I hate drama. Let the poor show just f'ing die. You can't replace Alex, Alex did a great job replacing Art Fleming.

#10 Iowa at #9 Iowa State tomorrow on national TV. The only time I won't be rooting for Cyclone's boys this year.

Peace Train

I was just listening to that and other Cat Stevens music on my recent trip from the deep south to Iowa/MN/Wisconsin. For a rare change, my wife agreed with my music choice. This trip was to drive her to see her 3 newly discovered half sisters. This came about because our daughter had a hit due to a DNA test linking her to the daughter of my wife's 1/2 sister. So, I drove her up there to meet the new family. But that was about 2200 miles RT(counting a lot of local driving around while we were up there), so I would occasionally need to break out some music, and she can't stand much of my 60s-early 70s rock. But thank goodness, she was just fine with Cat Stevens.

Cat Stevens had some of the best music from that era.

But I have to know, how can anyone not like 60s and 70s music (excluding disco, gag!!!)?

BTW that's pretty cool finding out she has three sisters.

Yes, it is very cool! And I ask my wife all of the time: what is wrong with you? it's almost like you were not even there growing up with the same music I was. Fortunately, she has many other redeeming qualities.

As does my wife also! They (wives) are amazing creatures! The good Lord knew what He was doing when He paired us together!!

OT to anyone:
Have you ever wanted to ask a question but you don't because of one of two reasons.
1) You will be attacked and denigrated.
2) You know the thread will spiral out of control and get locked.

There was a time, when persons with differing opinions could discuss something with differing opinions and it didn't boil into a throw down.
I miss the old days.

Thanks all!

@alephnull--Too bad you missed the forum fisticuffs that started about 15 years ago over PCa treatments: surgery vs. other treatments.

Tim,
A nice bit of fisticuffs is good now and then, it keeps things exciting and people a bit more honest.
So how fast was the thread locked?
Anyone involved who is a frequent commenter I might know? Stirring the pot.
Anyone get banned?

A few years ago I used to get into it with a former member whose name begins with Ja ck.
He just irritated me and I took objection to how I felt he was treating others.
He had two accounts, and the other account was always there backing the first up, kind of funny I thought.

I don't know about any bans, but there may have been. There was a guy named David who liked to mix it up and was itching for a fight. There was another guy named Selmer who posted a lot of weird stuff. And, yes, Jack was a piece of cake and I'm sure got banned. A few posters have posted under multiple identities, a case of forum schizophrenia. I guess when you have an anonymous forum, anything can happen, but thankfully the moderators have kept things mostly sane. When I joined the forum participants behaved perfectly. Ha Ha!
And of course, a few wackos have joined, which helps me to feel a lot more normal by comparison.

Mattam, GREAT!! I hadn't checked the standings yet.

I just checked CBS - CBS sucks, we're 44th. So I checked the one that counts AP - yeeeees, 25th.

Of course the Iowa schools are both doing pretty darn well. 5th IU and 14th ISU

I noticed on CBS poll, three of the four new Big12 schools are ranked. Cincinnati 9th, UCF 21st, and BYU 22nd

Great pickup by Big12!!

I really enjoyed my recent trip to Iowa/MN/WI(as I previously said, to see my wife's 3 new found 1/2 sisters). We stayed in Iowa City and made daily trips a few miles south to Washington, Iowa. An ocean of corn! Then we drove up to just north east(if mem serves) of Minneapolis/St.Paul to right across the street from Wild Mountain Ski and summer resort(the family we were visiting were the original developers/owners of that resort). Then we crossed the nearby St. Croix river so we could claim Wisconsin as a part of this trip. I really enjoyed seeing Y'all's country, very pretty this time of year. And I heard talk of some of these teams!

<<< An ocean of corn! >>>

Yep Billy Bob. Cornfields as far as the eye can see. I miss those memories of my younger years in Iowa. Here in Tucson the corn has changed to an ocean of Saguaros.

Sounds like you had a fun trip.
