<<< An ocean of corn! >>>
Yep Billy Bob. Cornfields as far as the eye can see. I miss those memories of my younger years in Iowa. Here in Tucson the corn has changed to an ocean of Saguaros.
Sounds like you had a fun trip.
Well, I'm very familiar with the Tucson area and Mt. Lemon as well, and I love AZ! One extreme to the other, but both have their charms. (spent 4 years in Phoenix, 2 in Flagstaff, plus numerous vacation trips.) Love me some Mogollon Rim north of Payson, but I fear so much has burned since I last visited, I'm afraid some of my favorite areas are destroyed. But I pray that many still remain. It seems like ever since I moved back east from UT in summer 87, there has been just severe drought after drought throughout the mountain West, from north to south. So many trees have died. Makes me sad.
