I know, an odd title for a thread. Let me explain.
We have been discussing for the past couple of days or so the relatively long life of the last Friday humor thread we had, the one from last week, and the fact that, hypothetically, it might go on and on.
Which somehow gave me the idea that it might be fun to point out that the Friday humor threads as a collection of threads do indeed go on and on.
That is, if you go to the "custom search" box at the upper right of the forum index screen, and type in (no quotes)
and then enter, you retrieve an index listing of all the Friday humor threads that have occurred here since, I guess, the indexing of them began.
That index that displays is thus a kind of "Friday metahumor" listing, making all of these past humor threads available for one's viewing pleasure again, if one wishes. Simply go to and click on the individual lines in this index once it is up and enjoy once again any of these past Friday humor threads.
So I guess it's fair to say that the forum Friday humor thread, generically speaking, really is an "immortal thread" in a way, and, instead of posting a joke today, I observe this fact.
Yes, it might be fun to perform the above search and have some fun remembering and retrieving past Friday humor threads that you recall as being especially funny. Maybe that can count as today's humor offering.
Maybe that also makes for a kind of deep, philosophical conclusion, that humor itself really does have a kind of immortality.
