I just had my first encounter with something that is likely to become a guilty pleasure....
Since I moved to the Philly area 3 years ago, I had heard of, but never tried, a wonderful foodstuff with the bland name of Tomato Pie. OMG.
Foccacia bread, with a layer of tomato sauce about
1/2 inch thick, a sprinkle of oregano and basil. That's it. Warm it in the microwave. Think chewy dough pizza without any cheese. This particular slice came from Don Giovanni's bakery.
