I just had my 18 month PSA Test after SBRT Treatment. My score continued to drop and is now 0.7. Great News!

I strongly encourage those with low risk to intermediate risk prostate cancer to evaluate SBRT as a treatment option. I have no urinary, rectal, or sexual side effects. I don't really think about PCA very much any more. I know that I am still early in the process, but am very pleased, and happy with my treatment decision.

Cheers!

Nice drop. I’m so glad I found this forum since it help me make an informed decision and led me to SBRT as well. Radiation may not be the best choice for everyone; however, most guys should at least investigate it. The 10 year results show SBRT to have possibly the best outcomes regarding recurrence and side effects. 3-Putt....Don’t be alarmed if you experience a PSA bounce along the way. For most guys the bounce period is between 15 and 36 months following treatment.

it'll test your faith for sure but in looking back the worst side effect that I've had from my radiation treatments was the uncertainty before nadir.

This is one of my first posts in 2016. Decided on SBRT and have had great results. Nadir is now .04. Treatment was in March of 2017. First psa was .12 and has gone down for every test done every 6 months. No bounce yet.

I have decided that I want some form of RT to combat my PCa. RP is pretty much out of the question for a variety of reasons.

So I am very swayed in the direction of SBRT aka CyberKnife and would like to know some important questions I should be asking the professionals during my appointment?

I met with my urologist yesterday and am concerned that he could not tell me what stage I am in. DRE indicates a lump and biopsy shows that it is confined in one lobe> he is guessing a t2 but maybe a t3.

Should any kinds of tests be given to determine the stage before radiation? Is it even important?

Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks
Alan
