I almost embarrassed to report this out here.

I have been fretting and whining out here for a few weeks about my 10 year post RP psa retest.
You guys have all been very helpful in soothing my angst.

Turns out I either misheard the nurse with my retest results or she said it wrong. I thought she said my uPSA retest was <0.06 which of course is good but in context with my historical PSA's gave me some feelings of unreliability.

Today I got the hard copy-- It is <0.006 (uPSA) which is the lowest I've had in 10 years...... Good Lord, I feel relieved and stupid at once. Thank you guys for putting up with me-- next time I'll get the hard copy and maybe pay better attention. I sincerely apologize for wasting everybody's sweet time.....

Craig, I’ll bet money the nurse misquoted. They are under pressure and a mistake like that is common.

Don’t feel Stu-I’d feel happy....no feel elated.
Congrats

Congrats, Brother Craig! Hey I noticed you took pomegranate juice for a while, and it appears your PSA came down. Do you still take it?

The exact same thing happened to me 6 months ago, I saw 0.05 on one form and it was actually <0.05 on the CORRECT form. it’s easy to get unhinged by this disease...
My age= 52 at time of diagnosis
DRE=negative,
PSA went from 1.9 to 2.85 in one year, biopsy ordered,
2 cores positive, one 5%,one 25% G=6
Bilateral nerve sparing robotic surgery on 09/11/08, pathological stage T2A,
No signs of spread, organ confined,
all PSA'S 0 since surgery, diagnosed with low T, doing TRT now, still using trimix for ED

Yes I take 3 0z of unsweetened pomegranate juice daily and also a pomegranate supplement

This was based on that paper from a few years back regarding reduction of PSA. I stopped taking it for a while and my PSA crept up to .05. It may be anecdotal but it did happen!!

I’m on it again and im undetectable.
I’m not saying there is a cause and effect here, I think I just do it for peace of mind. And, it’s a good antioxidant anyway.
