I have been doing great since my RALP in July 2015. PSA has been less <0.01. My regular doc is at Duke in Raleigh. Last psa with him was in May and as mentioned it was <0.01. We have a place in FL and since I was not going to be in Raleigh for my November psa check I figured I would have one done here. Well it came back with a psa = 0.03. Still low I know, but it freaked me out. Assay was with the Siemens Centaur XP chemiluminescent method. My FL URO said its was no big deal and he considered it 0.
Previous testing at Duke was using the Access Hybritech total-PSA method. I have made an appointment to go back to Duke doc, but not until early Jan. Can there be that type of difference in testing methods?
