2 years post successful robotic surgery, never had an issue of bed wetting until 3 months ago. I sometimes take a ambien to sleep better and on 3 occasions in the last 2 months had a wet spot when I awoke. On each occasion I did have a few glasses of wine, however I have had the wine on other nights that I did not have an issue. Is this a pelvic floor issue that I need to strengthen? I have not mentioned this to the doctor yet. I thought I was past all this.

I do still have my prostate, but like you I have had the same problem after starting Zytiga. I do use a medicine to help me sleep. It would seem like I would loose control of my bladder at night very randomly, sometimes soaking the diaper. To me this made it impossible to travel. I would wear adult diapers to bed. My M.O. was not very helpful on this front, I went back to my Urologist who ran some tests. We discussed a medicine I could take at night called Nocdurna, they need to watch your sodium level monthly on this medicine, but it does work completely for me. We have moved now to another city and I have found a new M.O. also who I feel listens to me.

Best of luck to you!

Gtc, i’ve had that issue since my prostatectomy on and off, maybe once every three or four months. I did mention it to my surgeon, and he said to me that he guesses it happens when I am extremely tired, and he was right. I think it’s just a function of you only have one sphincter now and you use it to control your urinary flow it’s something you can do in your sleep but on those nights you were in such a deep sleep that the full bladder does not make you aware enough to control that Sphincter.

Interesting... I'm 10 years post successful robotic surgery and have had "two" episodes in the past six months.

I blamed one of them on my dog since she was in my lap in the recliner when I feel asleep.... I'll have apologize to her.

I normally dream about peeing in weird places....and that will wake me up so I get up and go.... If it happens again, I'll have to make note on how my day went....

I sleep on a large waterproof pad that prevents a "little accident" from turning into a complete disaster....Booze and fatigue are contributors..Maybe tea, too...

Thank you all, Pratoman, yes your right, at least the last two times I was really tired as I had not slept well the previous 2 nights so I took the ambien. Not excited about another pill but maybe the nocdurna can help.
