Of course people have the right to decorate their own Christmas trees in any way they like, but for some this includes hanging tree ornaments that have a cancer theme.
It's likely a pretty, shiny, actually more or less standard tree ornament, except for the fact that it's definitely not the standard, red or green, angelic or snowflake etc. ornament motif.
It's going to be maybe the color of the cancer it represents, maybe with the image of a folded cancer ribbon imprinted on it, and it offers an inscript
ion to the effect that the tree's owner is a cancer survivor, or presents some other message about
overcoming cancer, etc., and this ornament tells the onlooker that fact.
Okay, I get it. Some people are so happy or relieved or proud that they have been able to control or overcome their cancers, or because their loved ones have, that they wish to celebrate this fact by hanging Christmas ornaments that highlight their cancer experience.
Personally I don't do this. But I respect the action of those who do hang such ornaments, if they get satisfaction from doing so.
The first link below displays some visuals of such ornaments, along with descript
ions and prices.
Some observations about
the ornaments depicted in the link: pinkish breast cancer themed ornaments are predominant (perhaps we sort of expected that); "all cancer" ornaments are probably next; some specific cancers have their own ornaments (appendix, cervical, lung, ovarian and throat); there is a humorous one ("if only chocolate cured cancer"); and even an "in loving memory of (add name)" ornament. So are there Christmas tree ornaments for PCa? Oh yes, there certainly are:https://www.google.com/search?q=prostate+cancer+christmas+tree+decorations&sxsrf=acybgnsuitbawyjs9zzxz8aldn4zlwd9ga:1575812423012&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=x&ved=2ahukewjb4tldlqbmahuntawkhvccd9sqsxh6bagmeck&biw=1600&bih=758
Again, not on my tree. But if there are some out there who like the idea, then let 'em go for it.
(Oh, BTW, there are also Christmas cards
out there with a PCa theme)https://www.google.com/search?q=prostate+cancer+christmas+cards&sxsrf=acybgntgifgeaiyutm_upl9eggmp-kocfw:1575904208180&source=univ&tbm=shop&tbo=u&sa=x&ved=2ahukewiw05zu7kjmahvom6wkhcqkargqsxh6bagneck&biw=1600&bih=758
