Thanks all! I just need to BREATHE and wait for the next step. (lots of time in the Army so I'm used to "hurry up and wait")
Probably the toughest tonight was telling my wife of 32 years "no, I didn't hear from the doctor's office'. She is a woman of action and doesn't suffer sub-par attention or care.
Anyway, I continue to learn more......
A quick observation - I'm 63 and in great physical health (except for this current prostate issue). Wife and I have 3 sons who are beginning their own adult lives and having success. Girlfriends, but no grandkids... We recently downsized the house situation and have seriously considered the whole retirement scene. So life is good.
For Xmas my bride and the boys surprised me with an amazing "bucket list" trip. They all dressed up in blue striped shirts, moustaches, and black berets. Think how a "mime" would look. In April 2020, the wife and I will travel to Normandy for a few days on the "Band of Brothers Tour". If you are a history buff you'll understand. A couple of days in Paris and then back to the good 'ol USA. I felt a little guilty about
us spending the $$ to go, but not now. Go while we can - who knows what the future will bring!
Thank you for hand-holding! Pappy
