A couple years back (after my RP) I met with a cardiologist since I have CVD. Out of curiosity I asked her whether her office would work in coordination with the RO and follow me in the event I had a Pca recurrence and needed SRT and, in conjunction, ADT. She answered affirmatively. I was surprised when she told me that testosterone actually has a protective effect on the heart. I always thought testosterone added to the risk of CVD and cardio episodes. But thinking about it....since ADT lowers testosterone and is said to add some cardiovascular risk, especially w/ men who have existing CVD, I guess it makes sense.
