2019 yes, it was a truly horrifying article. I hesitated to show that it to my wife. I don't like to burden her, or my kids. I like to protect them, if I can. There's a lot of ways to go, but this one doesn't seem a particularly "good" one (if any are). It also seems to come swiftly. I can't believe that a few months ago the world was so different - our lives were so different.
Yes, really rough. And I am a fellow that spent his life working with patients on ventilators. I hate to picture that. Makes me hurt even more for my HS buddy's grand niece over in GA- the 30 year old cardiac nurse who is on a group prayer list- who has now been on the vent about
a week. Finally this morning there was this:
"> Little by little. More good news.
> ******** ***** (name) seems to be improving. Still critical and on vent in ICU at ****** ****** Hospital.
> Sunday about
> Sunday Morning Praise: We FaceTimed with ***, ********'s nurse this morning. She has been so wonderful about
letting us see ********. We spoke to her and told her we loved her. She tried to
open her eyes and Amy had to calm her down because she tried to talk but can’t with the vent. She nodded her head to answer us. They are working on weaning her vent down so please pray that she has the air she needs to function without it. She is also having moments where her heart rate drops very low but it seems to correct itself without them having to give her anything. There is still a low grade temp coming and going but overall we are very blessed with everything we see and hear.

We will just keep praying.
