Many doctors use the term “in remission” to describe the situation after successful cancer treatment since no one knows for sure that a cure has been achieved given the way a cancer can reappear after a long time periods. For some reason, we do not use that term very often around here but I think it applies here as well. There is no way to know that you have been “cured” after having grade 4 or 5 cancer so while you hope you are cured, you are really hoping for a long remission period that exceeds your remaining life span in my current thinking. Love to hear an argument that cancer can be cured currently and the warranty that come with it.

Unfortunately there is no true cure for prostate cancer. There are, however, a myriad of good treatment choices.
