I'll see if I can get the full text. I think the papers usefulness may depend in part on the ease or difficult of applying whatever forumula or algorithm the authors developed. In any case, since it's a newly proposed method, it may be something to consider, but were I in AS, I would adhere to my doc's protocol, and bend the rules a bit only of he/she suggests it. For example, If the paper's method backs up my doc's proposal, that would give me more confidence.
