Steve n Dallas, and Vince in MT, thank you 'both' for your comments!
John 'is' totally off the oxybutynin, and I know it'll be at least a month before he'd have any surgery, as scheduling is usually a month or more out.... (He sees his urologist to discuss choices this Friday AM)
At his age, he's not as active as he'd 'like' to be
(Another problem 'yet' is that he produces 'no' natural testosterone like 'most' guys, who have 'some' level, even post-prostatectomy...
(He's hypogonadal, with a cyst identified on his 'pituitary')
He's just begun compounded 'testosterone cream', so we hope he'll gradually have a more 'normal' level) At the present time, he walks only to the mailbox and back...He just wants to walk around the block, as he used to do before his surgery and before his testosterone was stopped.
His present urologist has read the 'new' research and believes John 'needs' to be on replacement testosterone therapy, so we 'thank God' for him!
(He's following PSAs, of course--'all' have been <1.0)
Your suggestion about
the AUL is so helpful...John is 'cognitively' able to use it, and it 'might' be better for him, as it seems to have a somewhat higher 'success' rate.
'Will keep you all posted on what his urologist says!
