Did you ever see "Knuckleballers" a documentary about the knuckleball about 10 years ago?

No but I'd like to.
As a kid I'd throw against a brick wall with a box drawn on it. I Was never fast but tried curves sliders and knuckle ball's. I don't think it ever worked. The key as I remember was to allow no spin whatever and allow the air and wind to guide it

I could be way wrong but was always curious

I think you are essentially correct. A bullet through a rifled barrel shoots true. A bullet through a smooth barrel shoots unpredictably. A baseball pitched with little or no spin is fun to watch -- nobody knows where it will go.

Are there any knuckle ball pitchers these days?

Steven Wright with Red socks but that was 2019 so may not hold true today as he was on injured reserve
