I think if you gave us some more information it might help.
What was your initial diagnosis (gleason scores, etc)?
What has been your PSA history over the last few years?
Do you have any other medical issues (heart trouble, blood pressure, etc)?
I'd be wondering, at age 82, if you're getting to the point of going to completely minimal (palliative) treatment. I like the idea of "as needed", particularly at your age--depending what else is going on physically. What is the worst case for you? Are you in the situation where you're going to die of something else, regardless of what the PC does?
