Thursday home positive test confirmed by PCR test ordered by PCP. I tested b/c I started sneezing a lot Tuesday night. Wednesday night got chills and fever up to 101.8. Thursday more sneezing and heavy head but no fever. Not surprisingly I have not slept much. Today I am a lot better. Thinking about eating dinner. I had the Pfizer vaccine. Sorry Billy Bob, my vitamin D, vitamin C and zinc intake did not keep the virus away. My wife tested negative today so I can send her out to get my ice cream.

Glad you're feeling better. Any idea how you picked up the virus?

GoBucks, sounds like a tough day or two, but not terrible, hope your recovery is completed quickly.

Clearly the vaccines are doing their job in keeping people out of big trouble. With that said, i am becoming more and more convinced that they offer less protection that we hoped in the way of not being infected, at least against the Delta variant. I can't believe the number of breakthrough cases i have seen among friends, family and acquaintances.

Get well, and stay well

Hope you give your breakthrough case a KNOCK-OUT punch, GoBucks!

Rest --- recover --- REVITALIZE !

Get well wishes sent your way!

A little light humor…..for an otherwise serious topic.

“ If Covid 19 has forced you or a loved one to wear a mask with your glasses, You may be entitled to condensation.”

Hope you continue to improve!

Hi GoBucks: I am sorry to hear that your vitamin C, D and zinc did not keep you from the now so common breakthrough. But here is hoping that it will vastly improve your odds for a relatively mild case. I'm sure we all know that even if this stuff helps a lot that, just as with vaccines, they don't provide a guarantee against getting it, which is when the immune system kicks in ( vitamins or no vitamins, vaccine or no vaccine) to start it's war against the virus. Hopefully, that immune system is strongly improved by your efforts. Notice that in that study on D I recently shared that the D group that reached 30 ng/ml still got the virus, at a 3.3% rate compared to 5.6% rate for no D. But they still got it, it was not zero.

But, you and we know all of that. The important thing is: how are you feeling now, and how will you feel during the next week? Hopefully, the odds are in your favor for a quick recovery and a mild case, for whatever reasons! And when you finally heal, you will be sporting that apparently powerful(according to data out of Israel) immunity that comes from living thru an infection, if I understand that correctly. You will now have an immune response to the entire virus, not just the spike protein. (just trying to find a silver lining! )

Get well soon, Brother!

I think the Buckeyes win that game with a little more conservative play-calling. But, what the hell do I know?

Disappointing loss.

My condition deteriorated severely during that game. Seriously, fatigue has hit today even though I slept almost 9 hours. I dozed a lot during the game so thankfully I missed a lot of bad defense. Now my wife is symptomatic. Hopefully we can stay awake and watch some Ted Lasso between coughs.

Hello, GoBucks ----

Rest, nap, comfort foods, healthy hydration --- REPEAT.

I hope you and your wife start feeling better soon.

It's concerning to hear of these breakthrough cases.

Dr. Kwon's team at Mayo Clinic reached out to me, and stated a booster shot was in my best interest. So --- I got one two weeks ago.

I hope each day finds you both feeling BETTER and BETTER!

Thanks Cyclone and others who wished me well. Naps and comfort foods abound. I feel much better on Day 7 and my wife's fever is finally down on Day 4 and she feels better. Wondering who will deliver ice cream tonight on this 90 degree day.
