A few years ago, I switched to ZOLADEX --- it helped control my PSA more consistently.
It's an injectable "pellet" --- and I tolerate it FAR better than LUPRON and FIRMAGON.
Thankful to my oncologist who suggested we seek out the version that worked best for me. I benched the urologist who stated he refused to use anything but LUPRON.
The difference was transformative for me --- trying the other versions was not an issue. I had adverse site injection reactions to FIRMAGON.
For me, ZOLADEX worked best of all ...
And now --- we have the daily medication option that some fellows here have started taking at home.
My lesson learned?
There are options for ADT ... we have choices that we can discuss with our trusted oncologists ...
