Blood test and CT
Test Name: TESTOSTERONE(VA) Result: <7.00 Low
Test Name: PSA (ONCOLOGY) Result: <0.010
CT SCAN
Lungs: Previously noted right middle lobe nodule currently
measures 6 x 5 mm however appears less solid on today's exam
compared to exam dated 4/19/2021. More inferiorly within the
right middle lobe is a linear density measuring 1.3 x 0.4 cm on
image 72 not significantly changed compared to exam dated
4/19/2021. Additional scattered pulmonary nodules are grossly
stable compared to exam dated 4/19/2021. There are no new
suspicious pulmonary nodules. Scattered granulomas are also
noted. Right basilar dependent groundglass opacities are again
noted.
Impression:
1. Stable pulmonary nodules when compared to exam dated
4/19/2021 as detailed above. No new suspicious pulmonary nodules.
2. Mild nodularity of the left adrenal gland similar to prior CT
dating back to 2020. Attention on follow up study suggested. 3.
No definite evidence of metastatic disease within the abdomen and
pelvis.

Hello, SteveO ----

Your latest scans include GOOD NEWS, to be sure!

I know the importance of the word "STABLE" when the radiologists write up their interpretive summary!

STABLE! Hooray! Hoorah! Huzzah!

We have the common thread of having lung involvement, so I KNOW how important news like this feels, from first-hand experience!

I remember when my doctor wanted to run an updated lung scan, in the months after treatments began.

I remembered those worrisome initial scans, showing both my lungs "peppered" throughout with malignant nodules. I had an initial lung surgery, to extract several of those nudules.

For the follow-up scan, months later ---- it was a winter's day. It was a stressful moment --- waiting to see what the new scans would show.

The scans showed resolution in both lungs --- and the presence of SCARS. The scars were evidence of improvement!

I drove home on that winter's day, feeling GRATITUDE for the presence of SCARS!

Ironic, I know --- giving thanks for lung scars -----but scars were evidence that the lung nodules had shriveled up ---- "starved and strangled" by those initial shots of LUPRON!

And so tonight ---- I am giving thanks for YOUR good news from your lung scan!

Best news of the day ---- S•T•A•B•L•E !!!!

Be sure to do some CELEBRATING, SteveO!
