Thankful
I am thankful this year for many things, especially to my wife of 35 years, Rose. Thankful for my family, which consists of my older Brother and Sister, four Cousins, my son and daughter, son -in law and daughter- in- law, 9 precious grandchildren and one precious great grandchild.

Thankful to all the friends and posters on Healing Well, to those I don’t know much about, to some I call friends, some now are “Framily”, friends that have become family. We are all in this together.

I am thankful for my life today, as exactly 10 years ago I was diagnosed with Stage 4, Advanced, Metastatic Prostate Cancer, and told I had 3 years to live. Thanks to a great medical team, the powerful drug Zytiga and the even more powerful leap of Faith, I believe I am here today, 8 years and counting many more years, into a lasting Remission.
I believe in Miracles and that’s what I call myself, the Miracle One Million Dollar man (Thanks to Insurance).

Thankful to all those in the Medical field that have made my Journey strong and lasting, even when so many others that I know personally have suffered and passed. Thankful to have the strength and the grace on me to realize this truth and to try to inspire others with my humble story.

Thankful to live in a country that cherishes freedom, and thankful to those who have kept and are keeping it safe.
Thankful to be able to sit on my porch and enjoy the nature that surrounds us.
Thankful for the unknown mysteries of this life.
Thankful for all the artist, athletes and teachers that I have come to know and love.
Thankful for each breathe of life and to have had this life breathed into me.
Thankful to see today, a newborn great grandbaby’s breathe, his whimpering cry, his tiny eyes, that in all my hopes, will grow up to see the end and cure for all cancers in his lifetime.
Hallelujah and Amen!
Peace to all, of you, Keep the faith!

My thanks is for the many, oh-so-many, blessings bestowed on me and my family by Almighty God. Yes, ups-and-downs just like all who read these words.

Albeit personal (to include health), professional or whatever, I am blessed to have been given life by my parents some 73 years ago.

Special hugs to my wife of 39+ years, our son and the several beloved cats that lived under our roof.

And a gratitude to my brothers who keep this website going by sharing their concerns, compassion and camaraderie.

This time of year always makes me think of Tony Tim's prophetic words in Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol":

"God Bless Us - - Everyone".

I am thankful for Wings ( beautiful post) and many others who have inspired me through the years. In 2017 I was researching Social Security survivor benefits for my wife, afraid of how she'd get by without me. Now I am so thankful I have been present at the birth of 2 more granchildren and have been able to witness the Tigers, Pistons and Red Wings all become last place cellar dwellers. Life is good. And as always, Go Bucks!

When you see the setting sun, at day's end, take a moment to think of something from that day that you are thankful for ...

Thanks, Wings Of Eagles, for sharing your "ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE" with all of us here!

Keep shining ~ keep soaring!
