While I wait for my biopsy results, I have come up with some questions.

What if it’s negative am I cancer fee? No, the biopsy could have missed it.
Then what would the Urologist do? Do I have to wait to have another PSA and biopsy and if so how long?
Should I get an fPSA? If so does the total PSA have to be over 4?
The only thing I know so far is the prostate is enlarged on the left side.
Does BPH and Prostatitis accrue on both sides or can it happen on just one side?

Jim,
Anonther biopsy is usually done in a year.
Yes, ask about a fPSA although some say it isn't a reliable marker with low PSA's and yes, only one side can be enlargened. Lastly, selenium is your friend! A good ole fashioned men's multi and selenium.

Swim,
I have never heard of selenium. I did a Google and it does sound very promising.
What dose should I get? 100 mgc. I’m going to ask DR Ellis if it would be OK if I start taking it. I can’t see where it would hurt.
