I got the call around two today from DR Ellis’s nurse. It came back NEGITIVE, no PIN’s or signs of cancer. I’m to follow up every six months with a PSA and office visit. I requested if I could have a fPSA. She said that is fine and will send the request to my PCP for the blood test to be drawn on 19 Nov. I will be starting the Selenium and Multi’s that Swim suggested.

I wish to thank all for there help and concern.

It’s nice to just set back and relax. It’s been a good weekend so far even with it raining out, can’t mow. HEHE. I almost went out for BBQ ribs but had pasta instead, not like home made but good anyways. I’ll have ribs on 17 Nov when my fPSA is over 25%.
Glen, that will give you time to get here OK.

Jim

I’m sticking around to make sure all my new friends are doing fine.

Jim,

Nice to know you'll stick around we can always use new friends.  I'm certainly glad you've had such good news!!  By the way what is a fPSA?  I know what the PSA is, but not the fPSA.

fPSA is Percent free PSA. If percent is 25% or more it’s taken one is cancer free.
It is some times done before a biopsy if there is a quick rise in PSA to rule if a biopsy is need. Some doctors don’t recommend the test if total PSA is less then 4. fPSA accuracy is in question when total PSA is below 4.
