Hi,

We went to the urologists today and as we were heading out the door the nurse asked us if we wanted to move the surgery date up a week from Oct 10th to the 3rd next Tuesday..So that's what we're going to do to get it over with as soon as possible...Any last minute advise on things I need for him or things I should be doing?

That great Ellen,

There is nothing worse than waiting!  It does sound like you're ready.  I'm sure it will just be a relief to get on with it and get over this part, it was for us anyway.

Hoping the best for you both and sending lots of hugs and positive thoughts your way.

Good Luck,

Wicket,
the best to your husband and you. It seems that you will feel better emotionally after the surgery and I mean you Ellen, but please don't believe that everything will be the same after recovery. It's different. take one day at a time. As much as I love DW I feel distant from him, not less love just distant. Hug your guy as much as he will let you and most of all take care of yourself. I ignored this advise from all the girls here and I am paying for it dearly.
Warmest embraces and huggs to you and your husband. I am right there with you, so you can't see me.

Hi Ellen,

I'm sure you both feel the same way we did. Once the decision on surgery was made it needed to be done pronto. I know Jane was agonizing over it ever day we had to wait. You and Curtis are prepared, and this procedure is going to be a total success. Get as much rest as possible, and we will all be here to support you.

Ellen,

go for it. the sooner the better. I found the uncertainty of the whole thing worse than the actual experience. I never did get your home address to send you the bags. my email is adams@lcp.nrl.navy.mil. maybe if you send me an email it will work. everything will be fine!! just keep telling yourself that. here's a hug for you.... kat

That is great news! Now all your prep is in place - and you'll be sitting on the other side in just a few days.
