The 20th is coming up and I know how you feel. The dread plus the "excitment" of knowing you are doing the right thing. As many have said "it will be over before you know it" and then you can get on with the business of life and living the fullest on God intends you to live. I will definately be praying and thinking of you on the 20th. I had mine out Davinci style 10/12/06 and actually today I feel pretty darn normal except for the catheter.  God bless you my friend.

Diagnosed 8/17/06

57 years old

PSA 4.30

5 of 12 biopsy PC

Gleason 6

Davinci surgery 10/12/06

Hi ~ Dawgfan

You were on my calendar to send a special “Thinking of You” this evening… as your date is just around the bend….  And it was neat to see 56 Pontiac beat me to it!!!

What a special gift your wife received…… from someone who’s been there and knows exactly what to expect.  I just wonder who might get into that goody bag first?? You, da pooch, or mama? LOL  :-)

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family as you continue on your journey.  Soon the biggest stepping-stone will be behind you and on to the next.  Healing/Recovery stone.  We will be there with helping hands to continue to make the path smoother.

Take care friend and God Bless You ….each and every~day.

We will wait patiently to hear from you once you are home and feeling up to logging on J

In Friendship ~ Lee & Buddy

By now you're probably awake..not alert but awake. Hope things went great and you're home for the Tigers vs. St. Louis game tomorrow. If not, at least enjoy the game! If you do as well as Paul, you will be at home feeling very well! You and he are/were both 48 with the same clinical staging and PSA. Be well. Swim

Hi dawgfan,

Ask the doc if you can delete the candy in favor of beer. What's a series game without beer & chips? (only if you're off the of meds). Good luck, and hope you're home soon in the easy chair with the warm glo of the big screen to cheer you up. Go Tigers!
