John-
Congratulations on the new grandbaby! I am so happy to hear that your body is accepting the chemo well. My dad is also responding to his chemo. We got great news last week-PSA down from 15.88 to 4.5 already-after only 2 treatments. We have the 4th treatment this Friday-then one more...then they rerun all the scans and do another PSA so anxiously awaiting that. I have asked God for a miracle-one that will leave the doctors scratching their heads. Our doctor says they are making great strides with chemo and advanced prostate cancer....so I do believe in "cure". So, stay strong...kill off some more of those bugger cancer cells. WE CAN DO THIS!! I am praying for you and thinking about you John :)

Whispers,

So glad to hear your dad is doing better too. My PSA now at 0.1... down from 0.2 so the hormone and chemo is knocking it down. Now just "die bugger cancer cells die." Sounds like your dad's cancer cells are dying too..... faith and good self determination are as important as the treatments. Tell him he has hundreds here all praying and thinking positive thoughts for him too.

Green Acres.... so glad to hear you are "undetectable" we are praying for it stay that way for you. Those darn cancer cells can be a real "bugger".

Bluebird and all,

I am here, just have had a very stressfull couple weeks at work, Happy New Year to you all. I am doing fine and had third chemo Tues.. Feeling a little washed out and the hot flashes are kinda nasty now and then. My PSA is at 0.1 for two tests now three weeks apart, so that is excellent. Suffering a little depression and anxiety which is interrupting my sllep so the doctor put me on an anti-depressant.

I am trying to maintain a positive attitude and keeping all my friends here in my prayers and good wishes.

John - you don't know me as I'm a recent member.  I was happy to see that Miss Bluebird brought your story back to the top or I never would have seen it.

You'll see by the stats posted that my husband's surgery did not turn out as expected either so, of course, I've read all of this post to follow your journey. Before I came here there seemed to be no one who really understood the gravity of what we're going through and immediately I had responses from the fine group of people here. I'm hoping you will post again John, we need to know about others in the same situation. Please answer if you can...it does help both you & us.

With respect and hope,

Susan

Hi John,
If you're watching I hope you are well. You can see by the numbers we are very close and I am doing OK at this point. My prayers are that you see this message and know that even with the heavy heart that I have today for my mother, I still have room for you too. God Bless and get well.

Tony
