Thanks for the kind words Tamu - you of course know exactly how we felt. Yes we were both in tears once we left the doctor's office. I was standing in the hall thinking . . .Oh gosh why am I crying when I realized it was the relief flooding through. . . . .first thing I remembered was to thank God for hearing our prayers.

We are so very glad this fell together the way it did with having the more aggressive cancer present . . .originally we thought we'd have to wait until about now for laproscopic surgery and got in at end of September because there was a cancellation. . . .so yes, that guardian angel has been busy! Thanks again.

By the way, Bob is now 7 weeks post surgery (today) and still using 2 pads in 24 hours . . . the doctor was not at all concerned and said virtually everyone is dry by one year or anywhere along the way . . some faster than others and as it's been steadily getting better to not worry, keep kegaling and be patient.

yeah   yeah WHOOOO HOOOO

UNDETECTIBLE #2 AT 5 MONTHS POST OP!!

Just got back from urologists office where PSA is undetectible for the 2nd time at 5 months!  Another sigh of relief!

Next visit in May. . . . Doctor recommending Trimix Injections for the ED as Bob was only spared one nerve which was also greatly traumatized during surgery.

So another appointment in near future to "learn" this method.

Onward goes life!  Always so nice to leave the doctor's office with smiling face. yeah yeah

Thanks Lee & Buddy!  Always a pleasure to get a special message from you.

Sorry to miss the chat last night, however that's between 5 and 6 my time which exactly corresponds with our evening meal. . . so by the time I got on, most were gone.

Thanks so much for the support and cheers.

Well, today was our day for experience with Trimix injections. EB your post helped us so much. It pretty much went as you explained with yours. In our case it was the urologist who did the explaining.

He appeared in the room and asked the questions about previous sexual function prior to surgery and then about the difficulties in the six months since.

We had our prescription for Trimix filled already and had it with us as instructed. He showed both Bob & myself how to fill the needle and is starting with the lowest dose of .10.

He had Bob drop his pants and showed us both where the needle should be inserted (reminded Bob to be watching - I had to remind him to breathe!)

Then he said to hold the spot for 5 mins and then try and stimulate things and he'd be back in a total of 15.

In surroundings like this it's rather weird to be trying to get an erection, but Bob did end up with the best one he's had in the six months, however, wouldn't be enough to successfully complete intercourse.

Dr. advises to try the .10 next time and then go up in increments of .05 until successful. He thought that for such a low doseage, this was a good start.

He also recommended no more than 3 times per week, which is the most we've heard so far.

This minimal erection lasted a total of an hour and disappeared almost as quickly as it began. . . . .

There has been no discomfort, however, so Tamu . . . you may want to experiement with a different injection for the result you are hoping for as well.

Take care all!

Great news, but I can't hear you....you're undetectable.....:-)

And so am I. Got my news today. 0.0......yes.

Hey since we are both undetectable are we like in a parallel universe?

God Bless,

That's such great news - undetectable - that's what we all hope for!

You sound like a great team - no doubt your injections will be successful, too!

Hi Lee & Buddy
You are amazing! You even remember that it is time for our next PSA. PSA was run last week and Bob had an appointment yesterday which was cancelled due to a surgery emergency for the doctor. So we find out next Thursday and will be sure and post the results.

Thanks so much for thinking of us.

Good news once again! we've had THREE PSA zero's in a row since surgery last September. What a journey! One which has been made so much easier by each and everyone in here who has posted and supported us along the way.

Although our visit with the urologist was cancelled until next week, we did have a visit with our GP today and he of course already had his copy of the PSA results and we were thrilled to find out.

The blood condition also remains stable with red, white and platelets all within normal range. So, we've been given the go ahead to carry on with our summer plans which involve a lengthy camping trip to visit our darling grand kids including the one who's due in late August.

Once again, thanks to all on this forum.

Linda and Bob - a huge congrats. It's weird having those PSA results sitting in a computer somewhere for days and not knowing - until the appointment and then sitting in the room waiting again for the doc to arrive. Excellent news on platelet count, too!

And now you have a terrific summer to enjoy!
