Somebody may have mentioned this already but after a little leakage around my pad, I had to go home and change. Looking for a better solution, i tried a pair of old bicycle pants, the spandex  kind(with out any gel padding.) They are doing a great job of keeping my pad in place. I'm using them instead of undwerwear. Of course I have to let poor Willy and the Twins out occasionally for some air but that aside...they work well ( the pants, not Willie and the Twins)

Thanks for the advise. It's my first day back at work and I brought "supplies" including an extra pair of briefs just in case. In the week since I got rid of Foley, I've had a couple of instances where the briefs got wet due to "aim" I suppose. That will not be a good thing to happen at the office. I'll try some compression shorts Tuesday.

I guess all of us have had the same experience regarding the need for pads. I've been alright from the day I got the cath out while laying down. Sitting down has gotten better as well and is almost as good now as prone. Once I stand and during my walks - I still leak and cannot tell it's coming. Unless my bladder if full (like after a beer while watching a movie on the couch) I can't tell I need to go. How long is it taking everyone else to "get the feeling"?

I laughed at the let Willie and the Twins out for fresh air funneeeee! They sure do get smushed up when they are tightly held. I am almost a 100% dry don't leak or dribble, only if I sneeze or have some booze and I get a little loose. I did wear whitey tighties and a pad to the football game Saturday, just in case I couldn't get to the bathroom. I stayed 100% dry no drips runs or errors even going up and down the stadium stairs. Have any of you guys had a phantom feeling of pissing yourself sort of an involuntary reaction and then find out it was just a twinge or nerve or I don't know what. I get these phantom "twinges' sometimes and think I am peeing but I'm not.

Hi,

If anyone is still trying to keep the pad in place I'll tell you what Curtis did.  I bought him some of those boxer/briefs...briefs with longer legs on them, but he still had trouble keeping the pad in place when he'd sit down.  So he got a diaper pin and started pinning the front of the pad where he wanted it to the briefs and it worked great.  When he sat down the pad stayed in place.

I use Mens Guards (whatever brand I can find cheap), then cut them in half. They have an adhesive strip on the back which holds them in place. The most comfortable (if you can call it that) way to get protection for the occasional leak, at least for me. Be sure to put them in with the cut edge up... They will sometimes lose some of the insides. I can wear one pad all day, sometimes it's totally dry -other times "some spots"...

I have always worn "jockey" underwear , so holding the pad in place is a non issue.
