HELLO, It has been a week or so since i posted. Haver feverously been reading, studying and praying.
Have read alot about Proton Therapy. Loma Linda, CA. seems to be the most experienced at this type of radiation. M.D. Anderson just opened up a new facility this JUNE. Does anybody have any input on this treatment. Does a young (52 years old) man qualify for this treatment? I have heard radiation therapy is not for the younger PC patient. I think this type of radiation hits the cancer and does not hurt the surrounding tissue? Any thoughts or experience with this Proton Therapy.

Thanks,
B & C

The protonbob website has lots of stories from men who have been to Loma Linda: certainly worth looking at if you havn't already done so.

Bob gave me contact details for 7 men in Australia who have been to Loma Linda. All of them replied to my email or called me and all were very happy with their experience there.

Your PC could be tiny like mine. My first biopsy a few years ago had one G6 and one PIN: my recent biopsy was all clear.

Johns Hopkins had an article on "insignificant PC" in their 2003 newsletter about how to help gauge if you have an less agressive situation.

If you consider agressive treatment, it could be worthwhile to have another test, or have your slides reviewed as biopsy readings are subjective. Loma Linda would want to review your slides themselves.

Hi B & C,   Keep praying and researching….   Your answers will come to you!   Here’s a little rainbow to help you through the days that seem darker than others.   It will give you a little break in the clouds…. And that’s all it takes sometimes to find the sunshine!   * ////////////////////// //////////////////////////// /////////////// /////////////////////////// * ////////// /////////////////////////// ///// //////////////////////// ///////////////////// ///////////// ///////// ///////////////////// ///////////// ////////// * ////////// *   Continuing to keep you in our thoughts and prayers….
