yeah   yeah GOOD NEWS!!! 

 

Received call late this afternoon.  My first post op PSA was UNDETECTABLE.  Next check in six months. 

 

It will be a great Christmas this year!!

Glad to hear the good news, Tamu!  A question:  I'm curious why your urologist is waiting six months for the next PSA? I thought it was more commonly done every 3 months in the first year.  Of course, the most important PSA is the first one!  I get my second PSA in a couple weeks.

To tell you the truth I did not know that the next check would be in six months until I went to check out and set up the next appoitment and looked down and saw it on the sheet. We reviewed the post op path report again and he said that it was about as good as you could possibly want with the cancer being very small in a single location and being right in the middle of the prostate. My guess is that because of that is why he did not feel that I needed another PSA check for six months.

Tamuuuuuuuuuu! Another Christmas present for us! I just love goose eggs for breakfast! Sounds like no more stress for the TAMU!! Way to go my brother from a different mother!

Tamu, You old scallywag!!! I read on that other guys post that you had intercourse yesterday!! You just kind of snuck it in while describing something to him. Well, I think it's great news that everyone should know about, so I'm moving the TAMU post right up to the top so everyone can hear about it and congradulate you!!! Don't you know that us guys on this side of surgery are like a bunch of teenage boys and girls who love news like this almost as much as we like goose eggs! Maybe I should spoeak for myself, but lets see what the others have to say about it. Hip, Hip Hurra, Tamu got laid!!!!!!!!!

Hey Pete,

I was not really trying to sneak something by old Pete!! It just came up as I was posting the reply and I did not think much about it. While we did make it work yesterday I would not rate it high on the old scoreboard. The Vacurect gets it hard enough to get it in but it is a far cry from from being a quality kind of sex. I am going to give the Vacurect another week and if the erection does not get better I am contacting my urologist and going to give the injections a shot, no pun intended. Everything that I can read from those with actual experience with the injections is that either they are great and give you a very firm erection or the erection you get is so hard that it hurts. My urologist told me that at the clinic he is at that they have over a 1,000 men taking the injections.

Tamu, I didn't mean to put you on the spot yesterday, I just thought it's kind of a milestone for guys like us. Although my story is old news compared to some of you guys that "just crossed over", I'll tell you that I remember being at the stage you are at now. Trying to stuff Mr. Softy in! Well I never tryed anything like the pump or injections, the Dr.s never told me about any of that stuff, just Viagra, which gave me a head pain. So I just sort of drifted into a sexless depresion for a long time. Thank God I have an understanding wife. I just recently started learning more about my condition in the last few months and doing something about it. I'm sure if you've read any of my posts, you know. But as for my penis, over the last couple of years it has turned into a useless little nub! I found out about penile atrofy and was scared I let it go too long and may be in BIG TROUBLE! Well, now that I am on testosterone theropy I am working hard on the little guy and by God he wants to come out to play! Our bodies are amazing creations! I'd have to say in the last couple weeks with plenty of exersise, My little nub has transformed into good size man again! It's unbelievable! I can actually have decient sex without any pills at all! I'd say I have a good 75% - 80% of the size and hardness I had pre-surgery in this short span of time. It's like a miracle. So I say to you guys who are strugling, hang in there! Those nerves are repairing themselves and you will be back in buiseness in short order. If I can bring Lazzoris back from the dead, I'm shure you guys will be fine!

Hey, glad to hear that Mr P rises again. I have read about several like you who unfortunately went a long time before or still not erecting. I have taken this kind of in order. Once I got the post op path report back I knew that I had licked the monster C. Now the leakage has gotten to where one pad a day handles it and I can see the day that I will be padless coming. So that leaves doing something about the Big E. I was surprised to hear my urologist say that many men after prostate surgery are not motivated to intervening for an erection and are comfortable with just waiting it out. He knows that is not the case for me. I was severely disappointed that the Viagra did not produce an erection and was depressed until I was straightened out by Swimom.

Hey, no offense taken about the post. I am happy for you that things are getting back to normal. I believe that these types of posts that you and I are making just helps those that enter into the journey to the other side. Keep them coming friend.
