Hi mickeyboy,

Glad to hear from you, and hope you are feeling well. I'm not sure how long the catheter will remain in that will be the surgeon's call. As for the Kegels you will have to wait till after the catheter is removed. For now just focus on letting your body heal; lots of rest, walking is the best excercise for now (in moderation). Do not lift anything heavier than a carton of milk for awhile.

Best of luck to you, and speedy recovery.

Mickeyboy, As far as the catheter and kegals, they do not mix. Wait until after the cathether is out. Then kegal away, and they do work. I do 3 sets of ten. I tighten my rectum muscles for about ten to fifteen seconds then let it out. Relax for another ten to fifteen seconds and start to tighten the muscles again. Believe me it works, i started out with 4pads a day. I am down to 1pad a day. My operation was Nov.30th. 06. I will be back to work on Jan 25th.

All the best to you, you will do just fine!!!!!!!
