Pete,

I was waiting for someone to take issue with "that ol broad."  That ad has been bugging me every since I've been on this forum.  Ha.

Never has anything constructive to say, just watches us, like trying to lay a guilt trip on us.  Of course the discussion does ge a little "racey" sometimes.

I too agree the lady is a pain . . however, I suspect that a site like this would be non-existent without the aid of advertising . . . and advertising she is!!!! And we all agree we NEED a site like this!!

Hey Pete, ya nut.  Since this is alrealy 'off topic' and if someone is annoyed they don't have to read it, so screw 'em.

Yes it was a Bonnie.  It's hard to tell how much I loved that bike.  I used to get out on a back road and go as fast as it would go.  I came to Italian bikes late in life.  Had a Ducati 750F1B and a 900SS and a Guzzi LeMans.  Living proof that I am getting old is that the car I now own (for a bit over a year) is the only car that I've not taken out on a back road to see how fast it would go.  In fact, this car has never been to 100 mph with me driving it.  Interesting.  I envy you your '78 bevel drive Ducati.

I just realized that this is on the wrong thread, but I'm pooped and it's for Pete anyway.  I envy you that bevel drive Duck.  Too bad I'm too old to ride it well.

I think we need to meet.  As many of us who can make it.  I favor KC and Glen can fix us up with BBQ.

Keep Your Mach Up (My Friend),

Bill

Bill, same fore me, I can't remember the last time I went over 100mph. There was a time when we lived out in Austin Tex. in the early 80s when every time I got on my bike I went over 100. I loved riding there! The roads were in good shape banked, no freeze damage, and there was plenty of hills and curves in the hill country west & south of town. I road around w/ a bunch of guys who road raced so every Sunday AM it was leathers and 2 way radios in a selected course. Over 100 guys would usually show up. Only danger was cattle guards and armadillos or someone going down in the turn ahead of you. My younger brother is a blues musician and lives in New Orleans, he has a bunch of Guzzi's including a 1000 LeMans. Every time I go visit we go for a ride w/ some of his cronies down along Lake P. not far from him. He puts a huge Italian flag on the back of his 72' Eldarodo Police Special and we look like something right out of Milano! Anyhow, I'm probably pissing off the powers that be (off subject) Or is it "How riding my motorcycle over 100mph cause my p.c.??"
Your bud, Pete
PS / Yea, I'm down for some KC BBQ w/ Glen! I don't thing anyone else is going to go anyway!
