I ordered from ADC last month and the goods arrived promptly and were satisfactory quality.  I ordered again and received a similar message asking for alternate payment such as wire transfer.  I won't know for several more weeks if the charge I authorized was debited from my account.  I guess I will just wait and see before duplicating the payment by money order.

They no longer answer emails either, two in the last three weeks.

Go back into your account with ADC like you were ordering and check your last order and the payment part will not be complete. Just complete that part, saying you will pay by check or MO and complete that section. Complete your order and they will respond quickly. Once you give them the needed information on the check or Mo, they will ship your order. They say the CC problem is only temporary. I did that on Friday and my order is inbound from Customs and will be here tomorrow or the next day.

I placed a credit card order with ADC on Feb 23. I received my order on Mar 11 with no problems.

Friends, I really appreciate this discussion.

Last year, my wife lost a five year battle with cancer. During those years, sexual intimacy between us was virtually non-existent. I've been totally celibate for over two years. During the worst of her illness, I had to emotionally close off that part of me that desires sexual intimacy. I've waged a 40 year battle with Agent Orange induced prostate dysfunction that has caused frequent bouts of impotence. My late wife was a great friend and mother to our children, but, sadly, a woman who lost interest in sexual intimacy when her ability to bear children ended in her early thirties. Combining my wife's sexual indifference, my frequent prostate infections, and, ultimately, the necessity to sublimate my sexual desire during my wife's illness, I'm not certain that sexual activity, including intercourse is still within reach. I've never tried any of the E.D. medications and have not discounted the fact that my frequent impotence may be as much psychological as physical.

While most people think of me as outgoing and able to broach any subject, discussing impotence, even with my urologist, makes me very uncomfortable. Just reading this thread about buying E.D. meds from an internet vendor has helped my frame of mind. It's reassuring to know that there are men who understand the dilemma. I'm 64 years old; to some an old fart, but in my mind a 34-year-old stuck in an older body. I'd like to think that I'll have the opportunity and vigor to successfully engage sexually with another woman at some point in my remaining years.

I am reminded of Groucho Marx's last live TV interview on the Dick Cavett Show. Groucho was flanked by Erin Fleming, his young and beautiful companion of his last few years. Cavett asked Groucho if there was anything he'd change or do over in his life. Groucho took Erin's hand, smiled, looked Cavett straight in the eye and said, "You see this beautiful woman? I'd trade it all for one good hard on."

I placed an order with All Day Chemist, yesterday. Today, I received an email discussing the credit card problems ADC continues to have. I sent a Western Union money order. It's not for alot of money, and if I don't get the products, I'll be a bit ticked off, but I'll get over it and have learned a lesson. FYI, my 70-year-old brother pays $12.00 per Viagra tablet. He says when it works, it's worth 10 times that. yeah

RSteve,

The subject was ADC and their current problems and a matter of trust with giving them banking information.

Looking forward to hearing your results with the money order, by the way which drug did you order?

Thanks

I have had no problems at all communicating with ADC. I've emailed ADC several times with questions and received replies in a very timely manner, each time. Hopefully, this transaction will be successful. Frankly, I'm quite surprised that ADC has gone this payment route. The simplest thing for them to do is open an account in an American bank, hire a U.S. agent to collect payment via bank check and money orders, deposit them to the account, then wire the proceeds via one wire draft weekly or monthly to India.

I should add that when I've emailed ADC, I've directly emailed both kane@alldaychemist.com and peter@alldaychemist.com

I'd received emails from both, although it may be the same email account and responses coming from Kamal and Pramit. So far, okay!

As I wrote in my prior posts, I haven't had a problem, so far, knock...knock...knock wood. There is a phone number to call. Give that a shot. I don't know if they have a fax number on their website. If they do, you can use your computer and go to:

http://faxzero.com/ and send a free fax with your questions.

I just looked at the ADC website and there is a U.S. fax number to try, if you're not succeeding with email or the phone.

RSteve,

A couple of points here,

"RSteve said...I know, John, I did read the entire thread." You did and still posted what you wrote there?

You did not give them any banking information, you sent them a money order, there is a huge difference.

I do a lot of overseas business, this kind of problem credit card/payment problem is very common, your idea of a bank and agent will not work under the conidtions this type of seller works under. Simple, all those steps costs between $20-35 each step of the way, by the time they get the money, there is done if the order amount is too small to start with.

How many phone numbers, and faxs, do you call that are really in the US? You can fax and call all you want and still talk to some one in China or anywhere else for that matter but not the US.

Good Luck

John

RSteve said...Does it really matter if they're in the U.S., if they respond promptly to my inquiries? My last call to American Express found me talking to a customer service agent in Delhi. I had to inquire about a purchase made with Amazon.com and the customer service agent said she was in Costa Rica. Like it or not, alot of huge American businesses have their call centers outside the U.S.

JustJohn said...Good Luck, John

John, Although I'm retired and out of the international commercial loop, for many years, I was a direct importer of gemstones from SE Asia. I often functioned as a fiduciary between American retailers and Asian vendors. The transactional situation I described is exactly how I functioned. The Asian vendor would set a dollar amount that would accumulate in its international U.S. bank account, then I would wire the proceeds to them. Typically, we'd wait for a $3000 balance, then wire transfer the $3K to the bank's international branch in Asia. The cost of the transfer was about $30.00 or 1% of the balance; a small cost of doing business.

My order with ADC, with shipping, was under $100. If I receive no product for the payment, I'll have paid a modest amount for a very valuable lesson. If I get my order shipped, I'll both have product and a reasonable expectation of time of delivery, when I and others make future orders.

Whatever happens, I'll report back to this thread. If ADC has gone renegade, I prefer having paid via money order. They have no check from me nor credit card numbers. It's a very safe way to learn a lesson.

I just received an 80 tablet order of Levitra with no problems. I paid with a credit card and the charge showed up correctly. It was shipped to CA if that makes any difference, which I doubt.

hb2006, A quick question...They could not take my AmEx charge. Did you use VISA or Mastercard?

I was using a Chase Visa card, AmEx has more stringent merchant requirements and a higher fee for the merchant.

No problem here, but it has nothing to do witht this tread. Again you are mixing up statements and answers to questions that no one asked.

John, My post seems very important to you. I assure you, it's not. Read a few threads, other than this one relating to All Day Chemist and you'll find that posters do occasionally stray a bit from the core of the thread, providing informative background information about themselves. From what I've read, so far, folks are untroubled by this tangential information. If they are, I would hope a moderator would send me a PM.

I did receive this email from ADC today:

Rsteve,
I agree with your sentiments on this one. We are all human here, with a myriad of interests and backgrounds, can't speak for all, but I enjoy the diversity on subjects here, and the personal tidbits, makes pc a bit less scary, and brings a real life element to the board ,as opposed to just another online enclycopedia.

You state that your post seems very important to me, then assure me that is not important to me rolleyes This is like suggesting that ADC set up a broker/banker for funds tranfers while claiming you have extense experience in high dollar overseas trade when ADC does not.

Cruise the internet a little more, threads go off course all the time but when people do not make sense, they do not make sense.

Back to the start.

This is a question to all. ADC stop or could not accept credit cards, or thru a broker/clearing house about what time? If you search around you will start seeing where a lot of these overseas sellers started to get bounced by credit card companies right after the star of the year?

That is the result of all the credit crunch worldwide, it's happening in all industrial and sales sectors right now, it's going to be the new "normal" for awhile. It doesn't even mean a negative reflection on the company you are dealing with.

One quick note. Get a Western Union MO and don't send a check drawn on a personal account. It contains all the info anyone would need to drain your checking account electronically...

Plus, I enjoy the personal tidbit and wish the gentleman who lost his wife my sincere condolences. I understand a bit where he is coming from. My wife had breast cancer and is now on Femora, an estrogen suppressor, since her cancer was estrogen fueled, and her libido and plumbing is non-functional. God bless you sir.
