Cialis is expensive for me on my insurance ($200 for a month's supply of 15 tablets), so my doctor is suggesting I try Revatio instead.  Anyone here have experience with Revatio (including vs. Cialis and/or Viagra)?

Ravatio (caverta) is Viagra by a different name. Both made by Pfizer.

Hm, ok.  Interesting that my pharmacy is telling me Revetio is much more expensive ($1100 for a 90 day supply)

I use much more Cialis (cost wise) than Viagra, any idea of an alternative for Cialis?

I use Cialis to help with general healing of the blood vessels and to prevent scarring, and Viagra to deal with ED (see my signature).

Thanks in advance!

Raheeb,

Consider trying alldaychemist.com Prices are quite affordable and so far everyone who uses them is reporting good results....including us! Generic names vary by maker.

At alldaychemist in the "brand" side bar search, Cialis is not listed. The only generic cialis alternative I found in a quick search was "tadalafil," which is listed on the site in both the generic and brand search boxes.
Husband age 65
PSA on 5/1/06: 4.2 (had doubled in 13 mos. and rising monthly)
DaVinci Surgery 8/2/06
T2a (at biopsy)
T4c (at pathology) w/cancer cell leakage into fatty tissue
Post-Surgical PSA on 10/3/06 - undetectable!
Update: 11/1/06 - perhaps bladder neck involvement; 30%-50% chance of recurrence
Future: PSA tests twice-yearly for now

I guess it means you post a lot about how expensive Viagra, aka: Sildenafil, Cialis  aka:Tadalafil Levitra aka: Vardenafil  and that you want to use them but the cost is way to much.  I'm just saying it has been recommended by several that you try alldaychemist the drugs are exactly the same and the cost is less than $1.00 a pill with registered shipping. I was just being a jerk I apologize.

Again, I don't know what the hell you are talking about.  I never mentioned Levitra, first of all.  Second of all, I never saw anyone mention alldaychemist.com before this thread.  In fact, I just did a search of this forum and it only comes up in this thread over the last 6 months.  Even here it was only mentioned twice, and one of the responses is not directed at me.

Raheeb, alldaychemist is a non-US provider of drugs. after hearing about it several times, I finally ordered their version of cialis (60 pills for $63). we're waiting for the pills to come in. I would like to find a lab that will test it, but don't have a clue how to do that. We are hesitant to do this, but figured if others here have experience with it and are fine, then we will be too. maybe that is being naive, but we figure it's worth the chance. cialis is $12 a pill and taking it every other day gets to be very expensive. it infuriates us that the US health insurance companies won't cover it for post-surgery rehab. let's all take a deep breath and relax. I know we're getting frustrated.....kat

Thanks for this info, M. Kat... My original question probably wasn't clear, which led to some confusion.  I was looking to see if anyone had experience with Revatio, not the cost issue, though it's related.

Mostly I was shocked when I went to the pharmacist and they told me Revatio was for pulmonary arterial hypertension - I didn't read up on it when my doctor's assistant put the order in, other than that it was the same drug as Viagra with different dosage.  The pharmacist hadn't heard of any of the ED drugs being used for post-prostate-surgery, so that didn't help either.

After discussing with the physician's assistant yesterday, they have told me to skip the Revatio AND the Viagra, to use the pump twice daily, and use the Cialis "on demand" for sex.  Quite a bit different from using the pump daily, Cialis every other day and Viagra on demand.  The doctor is busy with surgery and I haven't spoken to him yet, so for now I am thinking of trying to use the pump twice daily with every other day Cialis.  I have an appointment for follow-up for my second post-surgery PSA, so I'll discuss it further with him there.

Viagara, Levitra and Cialis ...

Our doctor recommended Viagra and Levitra first as they don't stay in your system very long.  Levitra is a little more flexible as you can take it anytime where Viagra is recommend at least two hours after a meal.

Cialis, on the other hand, stays in your system longer.  She suggested to try the others first before going with Cialis.

Just FYI from what we were told.
