I'm on daily cialis for therapy, but I think this lower back pain thing is kicking my butt. Is this unique to cialis or does it happen with Viagra or levitra as well?

Levitra did the most early on while Cialis did absolutely nothing at all for the first 2 years. Viagra had some SE that required a slow titration over time to overcome. Now Paul can use any of them with the same mild stuffy nose as the only SE. At least it is the only one he mentions at all.

Ok, here is my experience with cialis.  I am 38 and have been having some problems keeping a full erection.  I am a smoker last 20 years which is probably the main problem.  I am working on quitting.  Anyways,  I got the cialis from an online retailer.  I was a little embarrased about going to the doctor so I decided to get them online.  I paid a full $33 per pill and got 3 of them.  10mg each.  I read alot of the side effects and was extremely worried about taking them.  The reports on headaches, backaches and upset stomach really freaked me out.

I decided I will try to take bite into the pill and take just half at first and wait and see if I get any side effects and then decide if I want to take the other half.  I bit into the pill and took half and waited about 25 minutes and did not feel any side effects so I took the other half to make it the full 10mg.  I was actually having a beer at the time while spending time with the beautiful girl who I was going to sepnd the entire night with so I knew sex was on the agenda for the evening.  ALSO, I decided 45 minutes before biting into the first half of the Cialis I took 2 tylenol.  500mg each to equal 1000mg.  I read online to do this and you will not get a headache.  ANYWAYS, about 2 hours later I felt no side effects at all No headache, No backache, no upset stomach.  I just finished eating a subway sandwich just prior to taking the pills also and did not get an upset stomach.

Anyways, we got back to the hotel and I had another beer.  2 total for the evening.  We started making out and BAM there it was.  It was like being in my early 20's again.  I was able to wait until she had 2 orgasm before I did.  A total of about 30 min or so.  The next afternoon it was on again NO PROBLEMS AT ALL.  No side effects or anything.  I could of went a 3rd time that evening but I think she was worn out haha.  I was too but I dont think an erection would have been a problem.  It definately last 24 hours not sure about the 36 hours.  I will definately take again and I am so glad my anxiety over these pills is gone.  I did feel a very slight feeling that a headache might be trying to come through the next morning but it never did once I was awake and moving around.  Thanks for everyone who shares there experience.  I was really worried about it but Cialis is definately good.

M Kat and others:  Thanks for all the information.  I will try Levitra next.  I started with Viagra, but my urologist prefers Cialis, so I switched to that.  Viagra worked faster for me, but Cialis didn't give me the stuffy nose.  Stuffy nose is really NOT an issue for me. I don't have any other side effects.  Urologist thinks Cialis keeps the nerves and penile tissue suffused with blood better than Viagra.

I've used Viagra on an empty stomach, just don't jump out of bed afterwards.

I will try the Levitra next.  I hadn't considered it until I saw the posts.  All Day Chemist is also considerably cheaper than the other Indian pharmacy I was using, so that's a plus too.  Thank you.

I have a "useable" erection, but useable depends on who is doing the defining.  My wife really likes the pump, and I think this is creating some psychological issues for me:  performance anxiety, and a subsequent lack of focus on the matter immediately at hand (so to speak).  I have no problem maintaining a very rigid erection when it's my turn, hence I suspect the problem might be in my head.

I'd really like to get past the pump, but at 6 months post-op I'm not complaining.   Bob D is my hero.  I printed his post out in large type and put it on my office wall.

This is just another thing you have to work at -and do the necessary research for the right solution.  Life was much simpler before PC.

I'm going to hit my GP up for some Xanax in June to try to get past the anxiety  "What?  Me Worry?  Who cares if it's hard???"  I was going to try the Trimix, but I think that might be premature.  I might create another monster.  I'm going to have my T checked again - a high testosterone level definitely helps.

Patience is not one of my virtues.

Members Ignore- another dirty, rotten spammer. Admin notified.

turn wink I tried my first dose of Viagra some months ago and it really does everything that is promises.30 minutes after taking a 100mg dose of Generic Viagra (with no side effects), then - wow - my penis is as stiff as it used to be when I was 20!. And what's more, there is more sensation and the effect is wonderful. The good thing which came with Generic Viagra was that a friend introduced me to a site called I'M A DIRTY ROTTEN SPAMMER_IGNORE ME which helped me buy Generic Viagra easily.Friendly customer support on the phone, helpful with product information! Best of all, my ED is fixed with the lowest price on the internet availed through Online Pharmacy!

Do we know this guy??

He sounds like a shill. Not all online pharmacy providers are created equal, prices vary tremendously. Some sell your email address so you wind up with endless spam.

There is one pharmacy suggested on this site that many posters have had excellent luck with. I have a good one too, but All Day Chemist's prices are better than my provider . I buy the 100 mg Viagra tabs and use a pill cutter to cut them into quarters. It comes out to less than $15 month. I've also used their generic Cialis (my urologist pushes Cialis, but it doesn't work as fast or as powerfully for me as the Viagra).

As with the PCa treatment outcomes, everyone seems to have a different experience with the different ED meds.

Hi All. I have been trying all 3 (Viagra, Cialis, and Levitra). I have had the best results with Viagra and Levitra. At best, things are quite full, but I would not call it stiff/hard (for decent penetration). I have had ew partial entries (from above/missionary), but seems to lose whatever fullness after entering. I have had the best penetration when using rear entry. Still not quite like before surgery, but better than laying down (missionary) position.

I am wondering if others concur on this next point. It seems like I really only achieve the maximum results when i am sitting on the bed, and I am on my knees. My wife typically is laying or sitting beside me, to facilitate manual stimulation. (If she, or I, do not do the manual stimulation, then i get no fullness or stiffness at all). If i lie on my back (like in the pre surgery days), and my wife touches me, i really do not see much fullness, at all. We (she and I) are thinking that it has to do with "blood flow", and that when i am on my back, all the blood just immediately falls out (so to speak). As compared to when I am on my knees, and am touched, then things become a bit full.

I am contemplating getting one of the Osbon ErecAid pumps. If anyone has one, can you tell me how you like it? And, can you tell me if you symptoms (fullness but not hard with pills, better results on knees, etc.) matches your conditions ?

The partial good news, is that when I am on my knees (after Viagra or Levitra) and if my wife stimulates me enough, I am able to have an orgasm. But the orgasm is not what the pre-surgery orgasms were. (the obvious, no semen, but beyond that, there is little contractions (and that is what i miss the most, the feelings of your body riviting and moving during the few seconds of orgasm. I do still feel a "build up" (my heart rate increases, my breathing increases, etc.) and then at completion that is a peak and then the feeling of having gone over the top (like pre surgery), But still no complete full feeling with the contractions. It has only been 4 months since the DaVinci surgery, so i am trying to be patient. But my patience is running thin enough that i am considering the Osbon pump.

For those who have a pump (Osbon), do you have the manual model, or the automatic model. The manual model is $495, the automatic with batteries is $595.

thanks for any feedback.

First, Welcome to the Forum.  If you would, how about making a signature file by going to the Control Panel, then Edit Profile, and at the botom of the page, give us the details of you journey so far in as concise manner as possible.  This info will help us get to know you and give us the info we would ned to know to help with further questions.

As far as the erections and blood falling out, yep, that's been my experience.  Until the penis and the Veinous valves recover enough to start working and holding the blood in on its own, then there's a couple things that you can do.  If you are able to get an erection suitable for sex, without a pump, then the use of a penis ring kit may be all you need.  Here's the link to a kit I recommend to guys here.  You just get the erection, then place the ring on the base of the penis and there ya go...

http://www.vitalitymedical.com/Product/Encore-Impo-Aid-Ring-Kit-OTC-44023001.html

Unless you are locked in on geting the Osbon for personal or insurance reasons, here's a link to a reasonably priced medical grade pump that is used by several of the guys here:

http://www.vitalitymedical.com/Product/Encore-Impo-Aid-Manual-Vacuum-Erection-Device-OTC-44010001.html

Works as good for me as the much more expensive Vacurect model.

Hope this info can be useful to you.

Fifties,

I am right along with you (at about 5 months now) and have also been cycling thru L V and C for 4 months. I would say ever so slightly in favor of Viagra -- but almost can't tell since none are doing much yet. And yes, same experience with lying down -- nothing -- standing (or kneeling) at least can get a fairly full softy -- but not good for anything much except to look at.

As JC said, the Encore Pump is a pretty good unit at only $100. (For battery powered one). I like it. There are other threads mentioning it -- maybe do a search for Encore to find them with our new and improved search method (not) smilewinkgrin

Keep on, Keeping on.

Not sure why but Cialis works much better for me. Levita was good but seemed to have a very short life and the stuffy nose was a real problem. I'm about 18 months out now. The last few months have really had a great deal of improvements although still not there yet. Haven't tried the VED.

OldFF,

Are you asking about the rings for yourself or for Mexishome?? Unclear.

Also, did your VED not come with rings? (but I see you were asking about the silicone rings -- yeah they should work on any VED -- they do tend to stretch out and become less effective after a lot of use -- and with the kit you waste most of them since only one or two will work for you.).

Also I reviewed the Osbon 'ergonomic' rings in this thread:

"Encore pump and Osbon Erecaid tension rings".

www.healingwell.com/community/default.aspx?f=35&m=1535528\

Also a follow-up after a week of using the Osbon's and all i can say is they seem to be worth the added cost. The erections have been harder than ever while using them and last longer too. -- "Like Marble" says wife. ( That's me .. A Greek Statue).

Give those a try if you have found that the regular silicone rings don't do the job as well.

I am sure no one will try it, but I had the best luck with a OTC product called stiffnights, google it for a sample. I have no idea what is in it and probably should not take it but gets the best results. I just wish I could just figure out the water fountain problem.

Engineer ...

I see that Stiff Nights contains L Arginine -- same as in VasoFlow (VasoFlow is just L Arginine and nothing else). I've used VasoFlow many times -- can't say it has made a difference yet, and as it tends to upset the stomach a bit (burp like crazy) so I do not to use it that often with ED meds that ALSO tend to make you burp. Biker90 mentioned it once and so I got a big bottle -- enough for the long haul I am sure at 2 pills whenever needed. Will try em again tonite since I have not used them lately.

I have always been suspisious of these over the counter suplements. With the change of events (PC and ED) I would be interested in hearing from others that have tried these suplements in addition to the ED Drugs.

Low testosterone levels and mental erotic desires shoukd be tossed in here as well since they go hand in hand sorta speak. Keep in mind if the old juice maker has been removed you have also lost that stuff the prostate puts out at the peak of sexual arousal that amplifies the effects of testosterone.

Hello excellent information about prostate cancer,I suffer of this cancer ans I also have Impotence I must take . I would like know if this medicament can affect or increase my cancer!!?

I removed your link to the online pharmacy website, as your post can be thought to be spamming for it. As a first time poster, on this thread which attracts spammers each time it comes back to the top, I must remove the link. As to your question, I know of no studies or documentation that the popular ED drugs contribute to causing or spreading prostate cancer.

Hey Guys,

Here's a side effect no one else has reported.....besides the headache, flushing, and occluded sinuses, Viagra makes my world have a blue tinge. I believe that's a dangerous condition where the drug is affecting the retina. My doctor told me to STAY AWAY from it in the future.

My best results to date have been from Levitra. Tried all of them a couple of months after RALP and got some results from Viagra, similar from Levitra, and only a whopping headache from Cialis. Let it all go for about 8 months as it would have been a waste of time as I was into a divorce over that time -- even bigger headache than Cialis LOL. Drugs can't compensate for that!

Started Levitra again at about the 1 year point and have been usually (but not always) getting great results. I'm going to try them all again as its clear to me that the results have been different at this point than in the initial trials. So maybe don't count them completely out after just one trial period, but try again after some time elapses. Not looking forward to the Cialis trial again, but will probably do it anyway.

I know that each of them works slightly differently. I'm sure the MD's would say 'no way', and I'm not in any way advocating experimentation AMA (against medical advice) but boys will be boys and I'm just curious, has anyone tried any combos (e.g. Levitra/Viagra at the same time)? If so, any 'additive' effects? Will let you all know if I ever try it myself.

 Hello everyone,

Although I have read many post's over the last few months I am new to this forum and I was wondering if someone could tell me,  does alldaychemist.com require a prescription for the E.D. drugs that they sell or can you simply order them without one?

I am 8 weeks post catheter and am still stuggling with E.D.  Viagra doesn't seem to be helping alot.  I am down to 1 light Poise pad per day and am dry while sleeping and sitting.  Walking or exertion is a different story.  If I consume alcohol before bed then I have a tendency to leak.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Scott B.
