2nd PSA test back - undetectable (<.01)!

My urologist is testing me at approximately every 3 months, got the second PSA result back at < .01
 
Got my testosterone checked also, both total and free are within the reference range, though at the lower end of it:
 
  • total testosterone 311 ng/dL; reference = 250 - 1100
  • free testosterone 47 pg/mL; reference = 35 - 155

Planning to see my sports medicine doctor to talk about the testosterone, but otherwise, pretty satisfied at this point!

Prostate cancer diagnosed:  May 15, 2006 (age 40)
Gleason score:  3+3=6
daVinci radical prostatectomy:  July 25, 2006
size of tumor:  approx 1.1 inches
post-surgery Gleason score:  3+4=7; negative margins from surgery
number of pads/day at 3 months after surgery:  3 to 5
number of pads/day at 4 months after surgery:  1 to 2
first post-surgery PSA:  0
ongoing post-surgery treatment:  Cialis every other day, Viagra "on-demand", ErecAid pump daily Cialis every other day, ErecAid pump twice daily (when I can manage it)

Otstanding Raheeb. Glad to hear the PSA's are coming back in line. That's the only indicator that what we went through was worth it. Congratulations again.

YAHOOOOOOOOOOO, Great news. I will have my first post op PSA with in the month and am hoping for the same news. yeah   Jerrio
PSA went from 2.3 to 4.5 12 months
Biop was 3+3=6 3% left side on 1 0f 12
sch. for total removal 1-22-07 (open)

Age 72. Diagnosed 11/03/06. PSA 7.05. Stage T2B Gleason 3+3.
RRP 12/7/06. Nerves and nodes okay.
Pathological stage: T2B. Gleason 3+4. Cancer confined to prostate.
PSA on 1/3/07 - 0.04.  Next PSA on 4/4/07.
