I had a da Vinci procedure about 8 months ago. Recovery is as expected with no obvious problems. PSA now undetectable, I am continent and have just the ED problem to sort out.

I am age 64 and have had back problems every so often for the last 40 years. The last time was about 15 years ago when I had a bad period started by lifting a heavy load awkwardly. This was diagnosed as caused by a “small central disc prolapse”. I got better after some time with rest and exercise.

Recently I have had the same symptoms – sciatica down one leg to my foot and stiffness in the lower back – but not caused by any heavy lifting or any other physical activity I can think of.

Now to the point of this post. Recently I have been taking cialis and I suspect it may be the cause of these side effects. Has anyone else experienced this?

From your symptoms it sure sounds like a flair up of sciatica. Questions though:

1. Think about the pain....does it run UP or down your leg? Up is definately sciatica while down may be
related to something in the lower back.

2. Is there tenderness in the side affected buttock?

3. Sometimes a back goes out for no good reason. Stop the Cialis for a week or two and see if it helps.
After a break take the Cialis again to challenge a recurrence of symptoms. Some men have complained
of large muscle aches, including back, leg and flank pain.

Hope all is well soon, Swim

I have not had any problems like that on Viagra. Just the headache!!!
BTW I had a ruptured L 4/5 12 years ago. Had surgery to fix it. All is well. I do occasionally sprain the back. Usually with rest, massage, and a few chiropractor visits it works itself out.

I agree with Swim. Go off the med's and see what happens.

Good Luck....see ya....KW
