Had pretty strong penile pain and spasms during catheter but no perineal pain. Post catheter (3 days ago) began the perineal ache...!!! WOW! First night I was already waking up every few hours with need to urinate with very little leakage during sleep. It is only when I am up and moving around that I tend to leak and as of yesterday that started happening less. (only one Depend the entire day) My issue is that the more I'm up the more perineal ache and pain and more leakage with penile spasms. Perineal area feels VERY bruised and sensitive but as of today, no ache involved. My major issue is urine and bowel acidity acerbated by internal hemorrhoid. I don't experience the perineal relief with a bowel movement, conversely, it is the opposite. Sadly, the ingestion of protein has always produced acidic bowel for me. Any suggestions on an alleviation to protein ingestion as that is what is recommended as best diet for recuperation? After extensive reading at various places concerning other's experiences, I noticed something. Without fail, every experience involved PSA's of no more than 10 or so. I had a biopsy of 3 out of 12 being positive. All on one side. My prostate with nodes were removed. My issue is that my PSA was 30 and 28.5 after antibiotics. This seems to be unusual for a localized cancer. My doctor is very friendly but seems to work with an attitude of minimal information. The answers I receive are basically non-informative with a "it's all okay" flavor. What is the deal with a 30 PSA? All in all, with my current symptoms, I consider myself very lucky. Today is good, yesterday not so much. Hang in there guys.
