I know I am new--awaiting my surgery--lots of family health problems--some of you know my wife also has Hasimoto's encephalopathy.

I posted that my daughter had a baby on the 8th.--unfortunately Jesse has had bleeding in the brain--We are now at children's hospital in Denver--waiting and trying to find out how much brain damage there has been.

Remember him--think--pray--whatever is right for you--

Thanks---

Dear David,

I am terribly sorry about your grandson.  How awful.  If it is possible for wishes and hopes to heal, you have all that I can give.  My best to you and all of yours.

Dear David,
I sit here with tears rolling down my cheeks for Jesse and all of you. I lost my son at age 21 and to me he was still one of my babies. I can not imagine your pain at this time and your families agony.
I pray that he has a positive outcome and I pray that you have the strength to make it through all of your battles.
Bless you.

Special words borrowed from daveed                     Our Hands are Reaching Out to You                                                                    and Your Loved Ones!!!   Dear David,   We are keeping you and your loved ones close to our hearts and in our prayers.   This is a time where you will feel “all of our” strengths.   The strength of this forum family as we pull together in all situations…. is very powerful.   Pull from us as you greet each new day.   And as you close your eyes for rest…. you will know we are there!     A gentle reminder that you must take care of “you” ~ It’s obvious many loved ones depend on you…. and in order for you to be there for them with strength… you must take care of you…    Take one day at a time…. and pull the strength from one forum family member…..   and the next day pull from another….. and you will feel the power of strength build to help you through this.   We know your focus will be with Jesse right now…. But you must take care of you… okay!!   Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers surround you as you move from one day to the next…. Waiting for answers.  As Wittler would say... STAY STRONG   Please ~ know we care!!    In Friendship ~ Lee & Buddy

I am grateful beyond words for all of your support. We are still in Denver at children's hospital. Tomorrow Jesse will have an MRI to determine (or guess) at the level of damage he has suffered. It is weird, I have held him for hours over the last few days. When I hold him, I am sure that he will be ok, it is only when I get away and think that I become so afraid for him and my children.

I havve told my clients over the years that fear is always about the future and never about the present. We are never afraid of what is, only about what might be or will be. As long as I stay in the present, everything is ok.

I guess it is the same with PC.

During these days, I have been overwhelmed by the support we have been given. My wife is adored by our town, and through her illness and now mine, 50 or more people have plunged in to help us, through food, helping prepare for our recital and now my son's graduation.

The problems with Jesse has only increased people's help and prayers.
I have been a minister for over 25 years and a professional therapist during the last 10 of those, and yet words like faith, love, hope, trust and others are just now beginning to be understood by me.

We have been told that if the MRI shows that there is no more bleeding in the brain, Jesse will be able to come home on Tuesday.

Thank you all for your care. I will keep you posted.

I am thinking of starting a thread on my return to health to document my new struggle with PC.
I probably won't do so until after my surgery as our recital is this weekend and my son graduates from high school next Wednesday.

We are all in this together, though are path is different we are all togther

Der David,
I am so glad that Jesse is coming home on Tuesday. That news sounds so very hopeful for all of you. I will continue to pray for a positive outcome. God gave Jesse to a family that will love him and care for him because he is special and I know that is why he has you for a Grandfather.
I am asking you to take care of you and yes, stay in the moment. You have every right to be afraid for many reasons right now and that only makes you human so please draw on the strength we offer and do the best you can without overextending yourself right now. Accept the help of your friends and family.
Serenity isn't freedom from the storm, but peace within the storm. --Unknown

David,

So happy that his condition appears to be improving, and hope that you will be able to bring the little one home soon. It is fantastic that you have so much community support in your town.

Praying for you and your family as Jesse goes through his MRI today and that things turn out positive.

Dear David,
Here it is Tuesday and I am praying for your Jesse and all your family.
May God be with you and I pray Jesse will have a positive report today and be home with his family.
PRAYER
Life without purpose is barren indeed.
There can't be a harvest unless you plant seed.
There can't be attainment unless there's a goal.
And man's but an object unless there's a soul.
If we send no ships out, no ship will come in.
And unless there's a contest, nobody can win.
For games can't be won unless they are played.
and PRAYERS won't be answered unless they are PRAYED.

thanks for all of your continued prayers.
we were set to go home today--even have the car packed but Children's decided that they need a contrast CT and possible an MRA. They think they have found a blood clot in addition to the bleeding. This will impact how much damage has been done to his brain.
Please continue prayers.

It is weird I haven't had any time to worry about my upcoming surgery as this is much more in the forefront.
I had to cancel my second blood donation since I am not at home, but my doctor thought one unit in reserve was probably enough.
I will keep you updated.

My wife is getting ready for recital so she is not with us. Dress rehearsal start tomorrow. We gave up on a yard lunch for our sons graduation and moved it to a friends bed and breakfast. It is a much nicer place and is a lot less work for us. That is this Sunday.

Thanks again for your prayers
David
