Anyone else have this happen after prostatectomy? Five days post surgery now.

Glad to hear you made it through the surgery. My husband had his on 4-2-07 and he has had a few hot flashes since. I kid him cuz he used to tease me about freezing him out of the bedroom during my menopause and now we both lay in bed and sweat all night. (I wish the sweating was due to other reasons) Anyway, I think your hot flashes are most likely due to your surgery.

Hey Curt,

I was going to ask the same question and fortunately before posting I was looking at the new posts and came across yours so that saves me the time and effort. I have noticed that I am having mild hot flashes, have to fan the covers from time to time but they are mostly short lived and only one or two a night. I am not taking any meds and have only had the davinci surgery a little over three weeks ago.....if I were on some type of hormone medication or involved in radiation I could understand the flashes. I hope Anniea is correct and that is just most likely one of the surgery side effects....anyone else having them???? Good luck, JWB

Our experience was that Ken had sweats his first and second night home. I assumed it was the pain meds he had the first two nights home. But he has not had any sweats since then.
