I'm looking for a recommendation for a good vacuum pump.  Please indicate where it can be purchased as well as if it's covered by insurance.

Also, how do you to purchase the pump through the insurance? Do you call the insurance with the script?

I bouught a Vacurect OTC Vacuum Erection Device on line from and it works good.

PSA 6.6, , biopsies On October 26, 06 with 5 positive and less than 30% cancer in any of them. Gleason 3+3.

Da Vinci surgery Feb 8, 2007 at SF VA hospital.

Home 2/9/07, Catheter out 2/16/07,

biopsies after surgery Gleason 3 + 4, T2

(waiting for all of the other pathology info)

Minimum leakage, up to urinate twice a night.

The prostate surgery agravated a hernia on my right side I did not nkow I had, surgery for that on 2-27-07 and the pain and discomfort from that was much worst than the prostate surgery.

The erecaid and Vacuret pumps are very expensive $250 to over $400.  I bought an Encore Revive manual pump on line for $79.  It seems to work just like the more expensive models.  I avoided the battery operated pumjp, because I wanted to control the rate of suction.

Some medical plans will pay a small amount towards purchase if you have a doctors Rx.

I bought from a dealer for Encore Medical.

Biopsy 10/16/06
T2A,  PSA 4.7
Gleason 4+4=8 right side
adrenocarcinoma of prostate
DaVinci Surgery 01/16/07
Post op report,confirms Gleason4+4=8
no extra extension/invasion identified
age 65
Back on the golf course...
90 day PSA  less than 0.01 (undetectable)
